Resources can be collected from nearby asteroids, crafted, or bought from traders. They are used for building everything in the station. In Patch 0.06.04, the resource system was overhauled: the resources were changed from fictional minerals (e.g. Steelite) to real ones (e.g. steel), and the quantity was vastly expanded.
Material Values[ | ]
These are the prices for which a unit of a given resource sells. Buying from and selling to different factions may have different value modifiers (ranging from --- to +++) based on how much of that resource the faction has - the less a faction has of a given resource, the more they'll be willing to pay for it (and the more they'll ask for selling it to you). Question marks in the below chart indicate prices that haven't been observed - if you observe a missing price, please fill it in. Italicized prices are assumed, based on how the demand progression works.
